Communicator. Photographer. Storyteller.

I am a communications specialist focused on social justice and advocacy.

A love for humanity and nuance drive my work.

I am naturally curious. In my early 20s, I left my in home in Arkansas to work and live abroad. After completing two graduate degrees, I consulted with the United Nations and international organizations. Today, I am back in the United States after several years far away from home. I am continuously exploring, and I value developing diverse skill sets that serve a larger purpose.

People are at the core of all of my work. I want good in the world, and I will seek it. Myers-Briggs tells me I am an INFJ. I analyze, feel, and act.

Photography

I have been taking photographs since I was a child. I made my passion a career during my university years and worked for the University of Arkansas as a published yearbook photographer. I have worked as a contract photographer with the private sector and nonprofit organizations. I now work independently in documentary projects, travel journalism, portraits, and events. I want my photographs to capture the intricate beauty in reality. My style is grounded in intimate, expressive moments and vibrant colors.

Communications

With more than ten years of digital communications and marketing experience, I work with social impact organizations and brands to craft compelling messaging that resonates with diverse audiences. I value productive dialogue, creative solutions, transparency, and engaging identities. My background spans executive communications, project leadership, campaign strategy, web writing, and social media management for high-profile social media accounts. I offer a blend of strategic and technical execution, with expertise in content creation, video editing, graphic design using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, and website redesign. Whether developing leadership messaging, managing competing priorities, or providing technical support behind the scenes, I focus on providing solutions that are thoughtful, effective, and human.

Research and Writing

My writing spans digital content, research, and public policy. Social media copy, web articles, and policy briefs are second nature. Grounded in an academic background centered on writing and qualitative research, I have conducted research on human rights and political history - experiences that shape my professional approach. My work has explored topics including gender and agricultural value chains, democratic governance, artificial intelligence, and the evolving role of social media in advocacy. Whether writing for the public, private sector leaders, or technical audiences, I prioritize clarity, accuracy, and accessibility. An international mindset and analytical thinking are reflected in my authorship style. I focus on the important, digestible messages of each piece.
