Communicator. World Traveler. Content Strategist.
I am a communications specialist with a focus on digital marketing, social media, and photography. Advocacy and a love for humanity drive my work.
Dedicated to learning and embracing opportunity
Originally from Arkansas, frequent moves during my childhood ignited my curious passion and drive to explore. Since graduating from the University of Arkansas, I have lived and worked abroad. I started my career in Santiago, Chile and completed two graduate degrees in Rome, Italy. I have been a consultant with the United Nations World Food Programme in Rome, Italy for over two years and am continuously exploring the humanitarian and digital worlds. I value developing diverse skills.
People are at the core of all of my work. I want good in the world, and I will seek it. Myers-Briggs tells me I am an INFJ. I analyze, feel, and act.
Photography
I have been taking photographs since I was 14 years old. I started making it a career during my university years and worked for the University of Arkansas as a published yearbook photographer. I have also worked as a contract photographer with Bella Baby Photography. I now work independently in travel journalism, portraits, and events. I want my photographs to capture the intricate beauty in reality.
Communications
I have held various positions with an emphasis on communications throughout my secondary education up until now, having over 5 years of experience. I value productive dialogue, creative solutions, and engaging brands. I have worked on campaigns, articles, blogs, and social media accounts. I have experience with content creation, video editing, and graphic design using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite. Communication and identity are in the details.
Research and Writing
My work spans from social media and websites to research and policy briefs. My educational background required a substantial amount of writing and research. I completed a qualitative research project on racism and resegregation in American schools. I have written pieces on artificial intelligence and the rise of social media advocacy. I have also worked as a research consultant for the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, focusing on women’s empowerment, migration and value chains. Aside from research, I have experience with blog and content writing. International education and expansive advocacy are reflected in my authorship styles. From academic research to travel blogging, I focus on the important, digestible message of each piece. Social justice and creativity drive my work.
